#1 Without the Gospel there is no church

In celebration of its 500th anniversary people around the globe gather to remember the Reformation. Although we celebrate this historic event, the powerful theology behind it has become almost alien to us. That which marked the Reformation movement has turned into history.

With the “500 Years Reformation: Together for the Gospel” conference we intend to display the beauty of these reformation truths again. In cooperation with “Together for the Gospel”, “Evangelium 21” seeks to make us understand better and savor the depth and width of the wonderful Gospel of our savior Jesus Christ. This theology of grace, which ignited the church 500 years ago, will also revive and strengthen the church of the 21st century.

27th to 29th April 2017 in Hamburg

3Leben und Wirken des jungen Martin Luther Jan Carsten Schnurr
(German only.)
(German only.)

(German only.)
(German only.)

What is Evangelium21?

Christians from different churches and denominations, whose faith is solidly grounded in Christ, belong to Evangelium21. Focusing on the great truths rediscovered by the Reformers – grace alone, faith alone, scripture alone, Christ alone, and for the glory of God alone — we want to make contributions that will revive and strengthen churches. After all, it is the biblical gospel alone that will fill Christians with genuine hope and overwhelming joy in God and will cause them to radiate both of these.

We desire to create a network to bring likeminded people together and to be able to recommend helpful contacts and resources for one another. Our materials and events serve to emphasize the centrality of the gospel, not only for church life, but also for life in general.

Humbly, we strive for the church of Christ to experience anew in the 21st century the meaning of “the gospel came … not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction” (1 Thess 1:5).
